Windows Installer starts when you click on the CMS icon

Solution 1:

Click on ‘Cancel’ until the TAILWIND CMS login screen appears. Click on the ‘Check Installation’ button. When the check finishes, close down the login screen and click on the CMS icon again.

Solution 2:

Click ‘Browse’ on the installer pop up. Find the location of the Tailwind_CMS.msi file. This is typically located in C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Temp\is_12.

Solution 2:

Manually replace the desktop shortcut for TAILWIND CMS.

Solution 3:

  • Open the Group Policy Editor by selecting Run from the Start Menu, and typing gpedit.msc.
  • Expand the following branches: Local Computer Policy \ Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Windows Components \ Windows Installer
  • Double-click Disable Windows Installer to your right, click Enabled, and choose Always from the list. Click Ok when you’re done.
  • The change will take effect immediately. If you added a snap in, as described above, you don’t need to “save changes to the console.”
