Create a Personnel / New Tailwind User

Open a blank personnel form

     This can be done in two ways:

  1. Navigate to the Personnel List, by clicking Personnel on the Left Vertical Menu and then click on the New Form button on the Horizontal Toolbar.
  2. Select New – Personnel from the file menu across the top of the program above the icons.

Populate the record

      Fill out the record appropriately, paying attention to the:

  •  Internal Name
  •  First Name
  •  Last Name
  •  Contact Information

Define Personnel Security

This can be achieved by selecting the applicable rights under the Security Tab, or by applying a Security Template.

 Creating a New Security Template

  • Navigate to the ‘Security’ tab on a personnel record
  • Define the security settings you wish to generate a template from
  • Click the Create Template button
  • Give the template an appropriate name

This template has now been defined, and can be applied to other users within the system.

Applying an Existing Security Template

  • Navigate to the ‘Security’ tab on the desired personnel record
  • Select the desired security template from the Security Template drop down
  • Click the Apply Template button

This template has now been applied to the selected personnel, and can modified to suit the specifics of this user’s job within the system.

Deleting an Existing Security Template

  • Navigate to the ‘Security’ tab on a personnel record
  • Select the desired security template from the Security Template drop down
  • Click the Delete Template button

This template has now been removed from the system.

Create Login Credentials for System Access

  • Check the box for Login Allowed in the top left corner of the form
  • Assign the desired username in the Login Allowed field
  • Check the box for Password Change at Next Login if you wish to require the user to set a new password upon logging in

Assign a Password

Upon saving the record, you will be prompted to enter a password for this new user.

Tip for administrators

As the LoginID must be unique for each user, it pays to give some thought to a standard naming convention, eg: First Initial, Last Name.
